A dog isn’t born knowing how to sit or leave or be social. He’s an animal, a predator, a product of his environment and genetic lineage

Our classes are about the humans learning. The difference between a dog and a human is that a human can think long term into the future because of our extra bit in our brains: the prefrontal cortex.

Differences Between Dogs & Humans

The dog is unable to imagine.

We are passionate about no dogs being rehomed or put down for behavioural reasons, the numbers are staggeringly high. Early prevention and thinking ahead can reduce this number.

✔️We want you to be as proud of your dog, and what you’ve achieved together, as we are of ours. We will teach you how to instill manners without words, get compliance without being a dictator, and respect without resorting to shouting and anger.

✔️We bring our own dogs that vary from been-there-done-that to ones that are still-in-training.

✔️We want to teach by example and be good role models.

What We Expect From You

To understand the dog isn’t born knowing how to sit or leave or be social. He’s an animal, a predator, a product of his environment and genetic lineage.

Our ideal guardian is one that learns new things at class and practices with their dog at home so that little improvements are seen each week.

One that understands we have to practice at different levels of distraction and not just at home.

One that wants to learn more about how to communicate in the dogs own language, to pursue the art of self awareness and to master great timing and gets that great training takes effort and there’s no over night fix.

One that understands that nothing is something.

What You Can Expect

We take great joy that we have never thrown anyone out of a class nor yelled at or purposefully embarrassed any owner.

If we feel someone is struggling or there is a match of “a lot of dog and inexperienced owner” we will gently speak to you individually on our rounds about doing some one to one work privately.

If you find yourself, for whatever reason, not enjoying class or getting frustrated, please speak to us (or email) we value feedback and as students of psychology we get that not everyone has the same learning style.

We look forward to welcoming you and your 4 legged best friend
